Residents and visitors can verify their status online through a free Dubai Police service
Dubai: Are you worried about any financial or legal case filed against you, which may make it difficult for you to travel to or from Dubai? Dubai Police offers a free travel ban inquiry service to make it easier for residents and visitors to find out if they have any criminal cases against them and a subsequent travel ban issued because of it.
Through Dubai Police’s smartphone app, website or its Smart Police Stations, you can check if there are any circulars related to financial cases and travel bans issued against you by the relevant security authorities.
You can inquire about the criminal status in financial cases, as well as a travel ban, through:
1. The Dubai Police app – ‘Dubai Police’, available for Android and Apple phones.

Checking for a travel ban through the Dubai Police app
- Download the ‘Dubai Police’ smartphone application, which is available for Apple and Android devices.
- Tap on ‘explore services’ and select ‘Inquiries and follow up’.
- Next, select the ‘circulars and travel bans’ service and click on ‘Start service’.
- The app will instantly inform you of any travel bans or circulars that may have been issued against you. If there are none, you will see a ‘no travel ban’ update, informing you that you can travel without any restrictions.
Checking for a travel ban through the Dubai Police website
- Visit the service page: https://www.dubaipolice.gov.ae/app/services/financial-cases
- You will be asked to sign in using your UAE PASS.
- Verify the log in on your phone app.
- The website will then inform you of any travel bans or circulars that may have been issued against you. If there are none, you will see a ‘no travel ban’ update, informing you that you can travel without any restrictions.
Checking for a travel ban through the Dubai Police’s Smart Police Stations
You can also visit the nearest smart police station to verify if there is a case or a travel ban against you. Smart Police stations were launched in Dubai in 2019 to offer easier access to Dubai Police’s services around the clock, without any human intervention. Today, there are over 30 stations offering different options to residents and visitors to access Dubai Police services conveniently.
